Instructional Design
TNGrafix can provide support to meet your human performance improvement and corporate communication needs. Our process basically follows the ADDIE model for Instructional Systems Design; however, we maintain flexibilty to iterate any part of the process as needed.
We start with a front-end analysis to identify the specifics of your situation and determine the desired outcome of the work project. This first step, also called a "Needs Assessment", facilitates discovery for writing the actionable learning objectives to define the deliverable scope. A method of task analysis is incorporated to chunk the content into manageable pieces for easy consumption.
After conducting the front-end analysis, the process moves into the design stage. This early point is when we will review your unique presentation expectations and offer creative complements for building learner engagement. We can use your established branding guidelines or collaborate to decide the visual aesthetics and general flow of information.
The flow of information is vital for development of the storyboard visuals and, when needed, the correlating script. This midpoint in the process allows for review of any gaps that may exist and attention to re-alignment of learning objectives, if needed. Our use of the ADDIE model does not preclude us from being reiterative. The task analysis is a key tool for managing edits to the content flow.
The implementation step is taken in increasing segments; each one widens participation within the organization. Generally, the segments include:
- one-on-one testing with open dialog about simple useability
- small group with user observation and feedback instrument
- larger section of target audience as determined by client
Learner acceptance testing (implementation segments) are determined by availability and feasibility of communication resources. Full deployment of learning materials can be managed by TNGrafix through your LMS or we will provide zipped folder(s) for your further action.
Evaluation of the work product(s) is conducted throughout the process. Continuous improvement is a cornerstone of our operating methodolgy. Ongoing monitoring of content and learner success can continue with our help or we will transition that management to your competent staff.
